Hi Everyone,
It Seams To Be Sew wants to join with the quilting community and send out our heartfelt prayers to everyone affected by the shooting in Uvalde.
We invite all our quilters to join with us and a project set up by Carol Fleming and show our love and sympathy for Uvalde through donating quilts. Here is her message. (Full text is at the bottom of this newsletter)

As a result of the tragic event in Texas, I have organized a quilt drive for the students, faculty, and staff at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Texas. A quilt won't heal the broken hearts however, a quilt given at times of tragedy conveys the gift of love. We all agree that the world never has enough love.
Quilts should be approximately 4 x 5 feet! It would be wonderful if the quilt contains at least 1 Star block [for Texas] or 1 Heart block for love. No fabrics with weapons or characters that promote fighting or evil. Bright cheerful colors.
The goal of 800 quilts to be completed in time for the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year. The more who participate the faster we can gift Robb Elementary with quilts and love from across the USA.

Our It Seams To Be Sew classroom will be open to everyone who wishes to participate. We have up to 16 seats for our quilters bring their machines, sew with friends, and contribute to this gift for Uvalde.
Our classroom will be open during the whole month of June
Quilters can receive a free 12 Fat Quarter pattern from us if they would like to use this for their donation.
If you would prefer to make a cash donation, please send it directly to
Carol Fleming
PO BOX 53

We hope to see you in-store very soon,
Hugs,
Lana and the crew

We all know quilters have big hearts, and Carol Fleming is asking her fellow quilters to help make quilts for students and faculty at Robb Elementary School in Texas following this week's tragedy.
Please read on for more information. Carol is looking for 4' x 5' (48 by 60 inch) cheerful quilts before the start of the next school year. You can send donations to her directly... please do not send them to our store!

How many 4 x 5 quilts could you create between now and July 4, 2022? If you would like to participate but are not a quilter or seamstress $$ donations or donation of clean new fabric is acceptable or handwritten notes/cards to be given with each quilt.
Donations may be sent to:
Carol Fleming
PO BOX 53
Randleman, NC 27317.
1. Make & donate a quilt or several quilts.
2. Donate fabric for quilts
3. Write cards to be included with each quilt.
4. Donation of funds to offset costs of supplies for other quilters.
5. Spread the word!
I will be collecting donations until the week of July 4, 2022. Each quilt will be wrapped and a note of encouragement will be included.
Please share with all of your quilting friends, your church families, or social groups. Together this task can be accomplished in record time!
Thank you for supporting the children of Robb Elementary in Texas.
