Jelly Rugs are a beautiful addition to your sewing room's decor. Learn the tricks to avoid the infamous "cupping" of your rug, and how to deal with it when it happens.
NOTE: Project may not be completed by the end of class, but you will be well on your way!
Items provided by the Teacher:
She will have a few denim needles for sale if anyone needs them. She will also bring a few boxes to hold the rug rope balls as they work through them.
Students must bring:
Sewing machine, cords, feet, bobbins, thread
Please bring a new spool of 100% cotton thread. MUST BE COTTON
Please pre-wind all bobbins with 100% Cotton thread as well.
Cut your batting to 2.25 (2 1/4" wide) This is DIFFERENT from the pattern. ALL batting must be 100% COTTON.
Your materials must be 100% cotton. This includes your fabric, thread and batting.
Sew steady or similar extension table instead of the barstool discussed in the pattern
